Calling all Lovers of Truth!

Tampa: Sticks of Fire!

Recently, I was in Tampa, Florida, at the invitation of Pathway to Christ ministries.  Apostle Greg Anderson and his lovely wife, Sheila, hosted a ladies conference at the University of South Florida campus all day on Saturday, August 28th.  There were a number of ministries represented in the 120 or so ladies who attended.  I was welcomed with open arms and met a lot of new friends who are hearing the call in this day to become part of what Yahweh is doing in the earth.  I have heard many testimonies from our time together, and I am once again reminded of the life-changing ministry that can come forth from anyone…myself included…who depends upon Holy Spirit to say what needs to be said! There is always a “word heard in their own language” as was the case on the original Day of Pentecost.  Changed lives, opened hearts, healing, deliverance, truth.  Yahweh is truly the giver of all good gifts, through His Son, Yahshua!

And then on Sunday, I had the honor of standing in the pulpit of Apostle Greg Anderson.  He is a mighty man of faith and what a great time we had as I stood in my place and became an ambassador of Christ, of Apostle, of Ed and all the folks at The Rock of Panama City to our extended family there in the Tampa area.  They are great folks, and I love them very much.  Although Apostle Greg has never lived in Panama City and been a daily part of our ecclesia, he has truly been grafted into Apostle and the family here.  Through the friendship and ministry of Prophet Johnnie Prophet (yes, that’s his real name!) Greg became acquainted with Apostle Ball, and over the past three years or so, Greg has received him as his apostle and father in the ministry.  This great man of God has become part of that geodesic dome that Apostle Ball has spoken of for so many years….the divine connection making us all part of the Glory of Yahweh that will one day fill the whole earth.  Our Father still sets the solitary into family.  By the divine inheritance we have received, a black man from Memphis, Tennessee, and a white woman from Northwest Louisiana have become brother and sister in a way that runs deeper than culture or natural DNA.  For that, I am so thankful!

I have heard that the name Tampa, which predates the European settlers, means STICKS OF FIRE or some say THE PLACE TO GATHER STICKS OF FIRE. I know that this name has prophetic significance during this time.  That ground is being broken up by Holy Spirit.  The government of the Kingdom of Yahweh is being restored to His ecclesia…not on a shiny new ox-cart but on the shoulders of the priests.  And because of this order, the fire of Holy Spirit is being released.  The sound of sonship has come to this region. It is being released by Apostle Greg Anderson and Prophet Johnnie Prophet, and this will not be just another visitation…but rather the habitation of His presence in many sons being brought to glory!  Amen!

Can you describe the difference between someone being called a Prophet and someone being called an Apostle.

Then, can you explain the similarities and differences with the prophets and apostles we find in God’s word?

Thanks!

Hi Jason,
Jason,

Sorry it has taken me so long to respond to your note. Been on the road a lot.

Frankly, I do not have a definitive answer. This same question has been asked, discussed and “answered’ many times in many various groups of which I have been a part, but never to my personal understanding and/or satisfaction.

It seems perhaps in the Old Testament, the two are one. Whether it was Isaiah or David or Ezekiel, it seems that these men both prophesied and led the people. I am afraid that we “churched people” tend to label people according to personality or cultural position. The older men of God who “plant” churches have most often been called apostles, whereas the more energetic, long-haired, impetuous one….prophets.

I don’t buy that.

Here is what I DO know.

Ephesians 4:11 definitively tells us there are five offices to the ministry. I Cor 12:20 lets us know there is an order to those gifts….FIRST apostles, SECOND prophets. I believe that Yahweh God is restoring the apostles back to His ecclesia–first and foremost as fathers. Although this words scares most folks, it is a good word….a word that perhaps best describes our God. Father. Yahweh always works through family. He is restoring that to the ecclesia so that He may restore it in each home. EVERY ministry, every gift, ever man or woman of God should be rightly covered and joined to an apostle. He still sets the solitary into family.

Then the true prophet can come along-side that father, and be released into the foundational building-block ministry that the true church is built upon….that of apostles AND prophets, Yahshue the Christ being that Chief Cornerstone. (Ephesians 2:20)

It is my conviction AND experience that a prophet without the covering/fathering/accountability of being REALLY joined to an apostle….not just on a piece of paper, but walking closely with an apostle….is never truly fully released into his/her destiny. And there are many out there like that.

I know this is not a clear answer, but it is simply what I know without trying to write a bunch of “fluff” that I don’t know.

And I am thankful to be joined to a true apostle for these past 26 years; a man who has been true. I have been ministered to, and believed in, many prophets, but only a few of those have proven to be really submitted to the divine order of Yahweh. I am however full of faith that many will.

Bless you on your journey,
Sandy

This past week, I had the pleasure of ministering to the ladies at The Church Triumphant in Ocala, Florida.  What a great time we had!  Apostle Johnny Snellgrove, along with his beautiful wife, Bevy, is doing a great job raising up a people into the maturity of sonship.  I was so blessed to see a [...]

I love the earth.  I don’t worship it, but I DO love it.  Whenever Ed and I have the opportunity to vacation, we always pick beautiful places where we can get outside.  Cities are okay for certain things, but if we have a few days of “down time ” you will find us somewhere outdoors…hiking, [...]
